Fondée en 2011, Esprit Sud Sevens a pour mission première de développer la pratique du Sevens dans la région Occitanie. Aujourd’hui, en plus d’être une équipe évoluant sur le Circuit Elite à 7 et Open Féminin, Esprit Sud Sevens propose ses propres tournois de rugby à 7 national et européen : Le Winter Sevens, Le Spring Sevens Festival et Le Med Sevens
Winter Sevens
The Winter Sevens is the first step of the European Sevens rugby series (European Circuit).
Spring Sevens Festival
Le Spring Sevens Festival n’est pas nouveau en somme il résulte de la fusion du Cogedim Spring Sevens et du Summer Rugby Festival. C’est le premier festival de sport en France.
Med Sevens
Created in 2013, the Med sevens tournament gathers the final step in the national Sevens rugby championship.

Rugby sevens requirements
Sevens rugby is a quick, precise and telegenic game. Played on the same pitch as Rugby Union, with less players (7) and less game time (14 minutes with two 7-minute half times). With ensures a game level that is fast, continuous action and substantial scores compared to the other forms of rugby. There is less matches and training session so less impacts, which guarantees a better physical condition, while having the opportunity to play a spectacular sport.

About Sevens rugby
Rugby Sevens is an Olympic discipline in our sport: rugby. Invented in 1883 in Melrose in Scotland, it is where the first Rugby Sevens Tournament was organised.
